I am most proud of my scary image. Everyone in my class were in a contest to see who could create the scariest photo and I had won the contest. I remember getting ready for school one morning and I saw that my kitchen window was foggy. I quickly grabbed my mom and asked her to go outside and place her hands on the window so I could take a photo. The image above was my end product. This lesson taught me that the best of pictures can come at the most unexpected times and you just have to be ready to take them and know what you are doing. It also taught me that you have to be very creative in thinking of what could set a pictures mood. For example, my photo's mood is spooky; But, if I had put a flower in the picture with the fog, it would be less scary and more happy.
Over this past semester, I had many memorable moments in Photo 1, but three seemed to be most memorable to me. I remember going to the Cumberland Fair and walking around all day just taking picture. I thought it was a very good way to get to know everyone a little better. It was also helpful to get to know how I can use different techniques to create great pictures. My second experience that was very memorable was winning the scariest photo. It showed me that if you need to think outside of the box and look at different ways that you can make a unique photo. My last very memorable moment in Photo 1 was getting to know people from Beijing.  It taught me about different cultures and how different ours is apart from the rest of the world.  It was also nice to communicate with people we may have never gotten to know without this class. I have many more memorable moments in the class but these three really seemed to jump out at me.

Who am I?

Volleyball, drawing, weddings, stand up paddleboarding, make-up, hair. I am only sophomore in highschool and I am pretty set on my future. Go to college for business and photography than become a wedding planner. With all of that set for me, I leave time to do the things I love like volleyball, drawing and stand up paddleboarding. During every season of the year, I play volleyball. Through the winter, I go to at least 10 tournaments out of state. When I just want to relax in my room, I take time to draw. I draw outfits, faces, landscape and scenes. Over the summer though, I will go to the lake frequently to stand up paddleboard. It’s such a relaxing thing for me to do. I can think about anything I want when I do it and it is very fun. Lastly, when I have friends over, they always want me doing there hair, make-up, and nails. I have a lot of patients with all of those things so I don't mind at all helping my friends with this stuff. I often have people come over so I can help them get ready for weddings, dances, parties and other formal things. I find doing all of these things fun and don't regret getting into them.

Pollution in China

I think he captured the mood very well in each picture. Depressing scenes that tell a lot about the world we live in and the effects of pollution. I also think that the captions gave you a better understanding about the condition that people live in and how it affects them.

I think they are really interesting and are self explanatory. I also think that the photographs have a lot of negative emotion which help communicate the issue better and tell a story about what’s happening. These photos have also showed me that there is a lot more going on in the world that I wasn’t too aware of. I knew these sort of things were going on around the world but I wasn’t quite away of how bad it was.

Holiday Spirit
It was night time when I took this picture. I happened to look outside our kitchen window and saw all out christmas lights on on a tree in our yard. I went out side to take a close up picture. It was freezing outside but I wanted to take the picture because I knew the next day it would snow and I would not get the same effect.

Culture Clash
I had success and some challenges in this project. A few thing’s that challenged me was the ferris wheel. I had wanted the lines to be very clear and neat but I could not do that with the selection tool because it would select too much and become more difficult. I learned, though, that if I use the erasing tool, it may take longer but it will come out neater.
